Weather Update: It is getting cold in North India including the country's capital Delhi. The Meteorological Department has now issued a warning of rain and hail amid dense fog and severe cold.
Cold continues in the entire North India. Most of the states including the country's capital Delhi are in the grip of severe cold. According to the India Meteorological Department (IMD), there will be no respite from the cold at present. After the cold winter, now the rain and snowfall are going to start. According to the Meteorological Department, an active Western Disturbance is likely to affect Northwest India from January 21 to 25. Due to this, rain and snow will continue over the Western Himalayan region in the early hours of the 21st.
According to the Meteorological Department, on January 23 and 25, rain may occur over the plains of northwest India including Punjab, Haryana, Uttar Pradesh and northern Rajasthan. Along with this, cold winds blowing at a speed of 50 km per hour will further increase the problems of the people.
IMD said in a statement that under its influence, rain or snow is likely to start in the western Himalayan region in the early hours of January 21. It is likely to continue till January 25 with peak activity on January 23-24. Apart from this, light to moderate hailstorm is likely at isolated places over Jammu, Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Punjab, Haryana, Chandigarh, Delhi, West Uttar Pradesh and North Rajasthan.
According to Skymet Weather, there is currently no respite from the cold wave. Even today, the condition of cold waves to severe cold waves is prevailing in some parts of Haryana and Rajasthan. Cold waves may prevail in parts of the country's capital Delhi-NCR, Punjab, Uttar Pradesh and Madhya Pradesh. There will be a change in wind direction over most parts of Northwest, Central and East India.
Due to the double attack of cold and fog, life has been badly affected. Passengers are facing problems due to dense fog. Indian Railways informed us that 6 trains are running late in the Northern Railway zone due to fog.
