Uproar in Delhi over removal of slums, AAP's protest in front of BJP office
The DDA (Delhi Development Authority) has issued notices for the removal of over a hundred slums in Mehrauli, Delhi. Through the notice, people have been warned that either they should remove the slums themselves or the DDA will remove the slums by running bulldozers, for which AAP is protesting against BJP.
Aam Aadmi Party workers and leaders protest in front of the BJP office against the removal of slums in Delhi's Mehrauli. At the same time, the police are trying to stop the workers and leaders, due to which clashes are also being seen between the police and the protesters. In fact, the Delhi Development Authority (DDA) has just issued a notice to the people to remove the slums. The Aam Aadmi Party alleges that the DDA has sent this notice at the behest of the BJP.
Talking to a private channel, an Aam Aadmi Party worker alleged that on one hand, Prime Minister Modi is claiming to give houses to all. At the same time, at the behest of his party, the DDA is demolishing people's houses. According to media reports, the DDA has issued notices to more than 100 people asking them to remove their slums.
AAP MLA Atishi has accused the DDA of the wrong demarcation. Along with this, he said that when the BJP leaders came here to seek votes in the Lok Sabha, Vidhansabha and recently held MCD elections, they had promised that the slums would not be removed, but now all the slum dwellers have been served notices. Atishi has warned that as long as the Aam Aadmi Party government is in Delhi, the BJP should not dare to use bulldozers on slums. Till all the slum dwellers do not get houses, the bulldozer will not work in the slums. Will fight for the people from the road to the Parliament, and will support the slum dwellers.
AAP MLA Somnath Bharti has hit out at the DDA alleging misuse of power. He said that BJP has started misusing the power of DDA through the LG office in the matter of MCD elections.
