Vehicle manufacturer Hyundai is engaged in the preparations for its new Verna model. The company has started testing it and it was often spotted with many great features. It is being said that the upcoming model will be a new generation that may add alloy wheels, ADAS safety features, and a mid-hybrid powertrain.
How will the new Verna look?
The Hyundai Verna was first introduced in India in 2017. The model was then given a major mid-life update in 2020. There are speculations that this time Varna may get a new generation.
In terms of design, most of the spotted prototype was covered, but the dual-tone alloy wheels could still be seen. Also, it is expected that the all-new Verna will see a lot of style updates.
Up front, the sedan will get a large grille that will come with redesigned headlamps. It has also been seen in the new Elantra. The fastback-like tapering roof and angular taillamps can also be seen from outside the cover.
Hyundai Verna can be offered in two options
Hyundai's new generation Verna is expected to be offered with 1.5L naturally aspirated petrol, 1.5L CRDi diesel, and 1.0L GDi turbo petrol engine options. All engines will be equipped with mild-hybrid technology with an automatic start/stop feature. It is expected that the Verna with mild-hybrid technology will give more mileage.
2023 Hyundai Verna: Price
At what price the Hyundai Verna will be brought to India, has not been disclosed at the moment. It is expected that it can be brought between Rs 10 lakh to Rs 16 lakh. At the same time, its current model is available for Rs 9.40 lakh.
Currently, the Hyundai Verna competes with the Honda City and Maruti Suzuki Ciaz cars available in the Indian market. After the arrival of this updated version, this car will also compete with Volkswagen's Vertus.
