An important meeting of the United Nations Security Council (UNSC) was held on Friday at the Taj Hotel in Mumbai to take a tough stand on terrorism. This morning members of the international community arrived at the Hotel Taj Mahal Palace to attend the special meeting of the UNSC. During this, he paid tribute at the 26/11 memorial at the hotel.

On the occasion, Jaishankar paid floral tributes at the 26/11 memorial at the Taj Mahal Palace Hotel in Mumbai. Terrorism is a serious threat to humanity, and to international peace and security. We have heard the voices of the victims today. Their loss is immeasurable. Let us remember that trauma and persevere in our efforts to bring the perpetrators of terrorism to justice. The main conspirators and planners of the 26/11 Mumbai terror attacks are still safe and have not been punished.
Regarding terror funding, S Jaishankar said, “A key aspect of countering terrorism is to stop the financing of terrorism effectively. Today the Anti-Terrorism Committee will also hold discussions with experts on countering the financing of terrorism in the local and regional context.
