At least 21 people, including nine children, have been killed in a massive house fire north of Palestine's Gaza City. Gaza's civil defence unit confirmed the death toll at 21 in a statement.

At least 21 people have died after a massive fire broke out in a building in Palestine's Gaza Strip. Nine children are also included in the dead. Giving information about the accident, health and civil emergency officials said that the top floor of a four-storey residential building in the densely populated Jabaliya refugee camp was gutted. The fire brigade personnel had to work hard for several hours to control this fire. Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas declared the incident a national tragedy and expressed his sorrow for the dead.
The administration says that the fire broke out in the congested Jabaliya Camp of the area, on the roof of a three-storey building.
