Tata Motors' compact SUV, Nexon has achieved a new production milestone of five lakh units since its launch in 2017. The carmaker rolled out the 5,00,000th unit of Nexon from its Ranjangaon facility in Pune on Tuesday.
The Nexon has been a popular choice among Indian buyers since its launch, thanks to its distinctive design, spacious interiors, and powerful engine options. The car also comes loaded with features such as a touchscreen infotainment system, automatic climate control, and multiple airbags for safety.
Speaking on the achievement, Shailesh Chandra, President - Passenger Vehicles Business Unit, Tata Motors said, "We are delighted to have reached this significant milestone for the Nexon brand. This achievement is a testament to the collective efforts of our workforce, suppliers, and dealer partners."
Tata Motors has been on a roll lately, having launched the facelifted version of the Nexon earlier this year. The updated Nexon features a revised front fascia, new alloy wheels, and updated features. The carmaker also plans to launch the electric version of the Nexon, called the Nexon EV, which has already garnered a lot of interest from Indian buyers.
With this new production milestone, Tata Nexon has established itself as a strong contender in the highly competitive compact SUV segment in India.
