Swearing-in ceremony in Nagaland-Meghalaya today, Conrad Sangma-Neiphiu Rio will again become Chief Minister

In Meghalaya, Conrad Sangma will take oath as Chief Minister at 11 am. At the same time, in Nagaland, Neiphiu Rio will take oath for the fifth term at 1:45 pm. Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Home Minister Amit Shah will be present during the swearing-in in the states of Meghalaya and Nagaland. And in Tripura, the swearing-in ceremony will be held on March 8.
In Meghalaya, Konrad Sangma is going to become the Chief Minister once again. In the recently concluded assembly elections, Konrad Sangma's NPP won 26 seats. In Meghalaya, BJP could win only two seats. Along with the BJP, the two major regional parties in Meghalaya—the United Democratic Party (UDP) and the People's Democratic Front (PDF)—have extended their support to the NPP-led coalition.
Neiphiu Rio met Governor La Ganesan on Monday. It is being told that Union Home Minister Amit Shah and party president JP Nadda will also be present in the swearing-in ceremony to be held at around 1.30 pm. This will be the first time in Nagaland that a Union Minister will be present at the swearing-in ceremony of the State Council of Ministers. The swearing-in of the Neiphiu Rio-led NDPP-BJP government will take place at the Capital Cultural Hall here amid tight security.
Told that Prime Minister Narendra Modi will attend the swearing-in ceremony of the NDPP-BJP government in Nagaland today. Senior BJP leaders, including Union Home Minister Amit Shah, may accompany the Prime Minister to the swearing-in ceremony in the northeastern states. Apart from these, all the Chief Ministers of the BJP have also been called. The oath ceremony is going to be held amid tight security.
