Shri Akal Takht meeting in Amritsar today regarding fugitive Amritpal Singh, a big decision can be taken
Khalistan supporter Amritpal is constantly changing his location to escape from the police. An important meeting has been held at Shri Akal Takht Sahib Amritsar regarding Amritpal. Representatives of different Sikh organizations, mints, sects, and Singh Sabhas have been called to this meeting.
It has been more than a week since Waris Punjab De chief Amritpal Singh went on the run. Punjab Police and other agencies are scouring different states to nab Khalistan supporter Amritpal. Even after so much time has passed, there is no trace of him. The capability of the Punjab Police is also being questioned as to why they have not been able to nab Amritpal despite having such a huge force. In this episode, today an important meeting has been held at Shri Akal Takht Sahib Amritsar regarding the activities going on regarding Amritpal. It is believed that a major decision can be taken in this meeting.
Representatives of different Sikh organizations, mints, sects, and Singh Sabhas have been called to the meeting of Shri Akal Takht to be held in Amritsar. The meeting will be presided over by Giani Harpreet Singh, Jathedar of Shri Akal Takht Sahib. It is being told that a message has been sent to 60 to 70 Sikh organizations and Nihang groups to participate in it.
Representatives of any political party will not participate in this meeting of Shri Akal Takht Sahib. The representatives of organizations who cannot reach this meeting can send their written suggestions to the email address of Shri Akal Takht Sahib. After this, the Jathedar can take an important decision.
Punjab Police yesterday arrested Balwant Singh from Khanna in connection with giving shelter to fugitive Amritpal Singh's gunman Tejinder Singh alias Gorkha Baba. Balwant Singh is a resident of the village of Kulhi. Till now no connection between Balwant Singh with Amritpal has been revealed. The police are questioning him in this matter.
Security agencies suspect that Khalistan supporter Amritpal may flee to Nepal via Uttar Pradesh. This is the reason why after Punjab, Haryana, Delhi and Uttarakhand he is now being searched in Nepal. The Punjab government has invoked the stringent National Security Act against Amritpal and some of his associates.
