Postal ballot counting begins in Himachal with tight security
Himachal Pradesh Election Results 2022: Counting has started in Himachal Pradesh with tight security. Counting of votes has started in 68 centers set up at 59 places across the state, in which counting of postal ballots has started first.

After the counting of postal ballots starts, the counting of EVM votes will be done. All 68 assembly seats in the state went to polls in a single phase on November 12, with a voter turnout of around 76.44%.
In the initial trends, Congress is leading on 5 seats and BJP on 10 seats. Adequate security arrangements have been made for the peaceful completion of counting votes. Three-tier security arrangements have been made at all the counting centres. According to media reports, the counting of votes will take place from 10 to 18 rounds.
