Prime Minister Modi will launch a mega recruitment drive at 11 am today, in which appointment letters will be given to 75 thousand of youth to work in 38 ministries and departments of the central government. The Prime Minister's Office has informed us that all these recruitments are being done through UPSC, SSC, RRB and other central agencies. During this, Prime Minister Modi will interact with the youth who have received the appointment letter and will also address them. Under the Mega Recruitment Drive, 10 lakh people will be given employment.

Issuing a statement from the Prime Minister's Office, it has said that "This will be a significant step towards fulfilling the Prime Minister's continued commitment to provide employment opportunities for youth and ensure the welfare of citizens. Government Ministries and It is working towards filling up all the existing vacancies in the departments on "Mission Mode".

According to media reports, 50 Union Ministers will personally give appointment letters to about 20 thousand youth selected for various government jobs at different places across the country under the Mega Recruitment Drive. At the same time, the youth who cannot participate in this program will be sent appointment letters by email or post. Union Aviation Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia will give appointment letters to the youth in Bhopal and Union Law and Justice Minister Kiren Rijiju in Shillong. At the same time, Information and Broadcasting Minister Anurag Thakur in Chandigarh, Social Justice and Empowerment Minister Virendra Kumar in Indore, Commerce Minister Piyush Goyal in Mumbai Port, Union Minister of State for Personnel Jitendra Singh in Delhi and Guwahati. Along with this, Petroleum and Natural Gas Minister Hardeep Singh Puri Patiala, Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan Bhubaneswar, and Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman will hand over appointment letters to the youth in Chennai.

Last year, Union Minister Jitendra Singh, while giving a statement in Parliament, said that on 1 March 2020, 8.72 lakh posts are vacant in central government departments. The number of these vacant posts has increased further, in which jobs will be given to the youth under the mega recruitment drive.
