Prime Minister Narendra Modi will address the theme of Science and Technology for Women Empowerment and Sustainable Development at the 108th Indian Science Congress on January 3. The first session of the Congress was held in the year 1914.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi will address the 108th Indian Science Congress on Tuesday at 10.30 am. This address of the Prime Minister will be through video conferencing, whose theme is Science and Technology for Sustainable Development with Women Empowerment. The Prime Minister's Office said on Sunday that the 108th Indian Science Congress will deliberate on finding ways to provide women access to science, technology, engineering, mathematics education and economic participation.
According to the PMO office, during this program, a special program will also be organized to showcase the contribution of women in science and technology, in which many eminent women scientists will give lectures.
The 108th Indian Science Congress will also organize a Children's Science Congress to help encourage scientific interest and temperament among children. Along with this, Farmers Science Congress will also be organized, in which improvement in bio-economy and youth will be attracted towards agriculture.
A Tribal Science Congress will also be organized at the Indian Science Congress, through which emphasis will be laid on the empowerment of tribal women. Along with this, it will also tell about the indigenous Pra China knowledge system.
