PM Modi on Uttarakhand tour, will offer prayers at Kedarnath temple, will lay the foundation stone for projects
Prime Minister Narendra Modi has reached Uttarakhand, where he reached Kedarnath temple and offered prayers to Baba Kedar. After this, he will also go to Badrinath Dham and worship. Along with this, PM Modi will lay the foundation stone of projects worth more than Rs 3400 crore.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi is on a Uttarakhand tour today. The Prime Minister was received by Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami and retired Lieutenant General and Governor Gurmeet Singh on his arrival at Jolly Grant Airport in Dehradun. After this, PM Modi reached Kedarnath for the sixth time today and worshiped Baba Kedar with chanting. According to media reports, the Kedarnath temple has been decorated with 20 quintals of flowers for the arrival of the Prime Minister in Kedarnath.
Along with this, a red carpet has been laid around the temple to welcome the Prime Minister. Kedarnath-Badrinath Committee President Ajendra Ajay told that the temple has been decorated with garlands of flowers including marigold, mango, and peepal leaves.
PM Modi will lay the foundation stone for connectivity projects worth over Rs 3400 crore along with two new ropeway projects connecting Gaurikund to Kedarnath and Govindghat to Hemkund Sahib.
Prime Minister Modi will inspect construction and development works in Uttarakhand today. Rudraprayag DM Mayur Dixit said that the PM will inspect the construction works, for which all preparations have been completed. At the same time, he described the cable car project as important for Kedarnath.
