CBI Raids on Cyber Fraud: Today a big action is being taken by CBI regarding cyber fraud. To curb the incidents of cyber fraud, the CBI team is conducting raids at 105 places across the country. This campaign has been named Operation Chakra.
For the past few days, a lot of incidents of cyber fraud were coming to the fore in the country. People sitting in one room used to clean the accounts of others. The Central Investigation Agency (CBI) has taken major action today with the aim of curbing incidents of cyber fraud. The CBI team is conducting raids at 105 places across the country regarding cyber fraud. The CBI has named this major action Operation Chakra. Under this operation, at present, CBI raids are going on in 105 different places in the country.
According to the information received, 105 locations are being raided under Operation Chakra. The CBI team is raiding 87 locations. While raids are being conducted at 18 locations in coordination with the state police. Raids are going on at 5 places in the capital Delhi. Apart from this, red is going on in Andaman, Punjab, Chandigarh, and Rajasthan. Specific information about this raid has not been revealed yet.
According to media reports, this CBI raid has been started after a cyber fraud gang was busted in the Rajsamand district of Rajasthan. Let us tell you that in the past, a cyber fraud gang was exposed by raiding a call center in the Rajsamand district. One kg of gold and 50 million cash were recovered from this call centre.
Earlier on July 2, while busting a fake call center in Gurugram, the police had arrested nine people, including five women. The police had recovered Rs 13.40 lakh from the owners of the call centre. According to the police, the cybercrime police team had received a tip-off that a fake call center was being operated from a rented house located in DLF Phase-2, Gurugram.
