Massive fire breaks out at shops in Mumbai's Andheri station complex, no casualties
Mumbai Andheri Railway Station Fire: Due to the fire in the shops near Andheri West Railway Station in Mumbai, some parts of the railway have also suffered major damage. As soon as the information about the fire was received, four to five fire tenders reached the spot.
A fierce fire broke out in some shops located on the premises of Andheri Railway Station in Mumbai in the early hours of today (December 2). It is being told that a fire broke out in about 4 shops located in the Andheri station area at 5.30 am today. There is no news of any casualty in the incident so far.
According to the information received, some parts of the railway have also suffered major damage due to the fire in the shops near Andheri West Railway Station. As soon as the information about the fire was received, four to five fire tenders reached the spot. The fire was brought under control after about an hour's effort.
However, the exact cause of the fire is yet to be ascertained. But according to preliminary information, the fire broke out in a shop due to a short circuit and in no time it spread to some adjacent shops as well. Fortunately, there was no loss of life in this fire, but the shops were gutted. Due to this, there has been an economic loss of lakhs of rupees.
In this regard, DN Nagar Police of Andheri has registered a case and is taking further action. It is believed that due to the night time there was no crowd in the station premises and the shop was also closed, due to which there was no loss of life.
