There has been no change in the price of domestic LPG cylinders in metros across the country. According to the website of IOCL, the price of a domestic gas cylinder in the country's capital Delhi is only Rs 1,103. 1,129 in Kolkata, Rs 1102.50 in Mumbai and Rs 1118.50 in Chennai. Earlier this month, the Modi government extended the subsidy of Rs 200 per LPG cylinder under the Pradhan Mantri Ujjwala Yojana for one year in view of the high prices of petroleum products in the international market. The subsidy is deposited directly into the bank accounts of the eligible beneficiaries. Approved a subsidy of Rs 200 per 14.2 kg cylinder for up to 12 refills per year to be provided to PMUY beneficiaries.
