Lashkar terrorist arrested in Bandipora, Chinese grenade, as well as AK-47 bullets, seized

Bandipora Terrorist Arrested: A Lashkar-e-Taiba terrorist has been arrested in a joint operation by the police and CRPF in Bandipora, Jammu and Kashmir. Several rounds of AK-47 along with a Chinese grenade have been recovered from the arrested terrorist.

Police and Indian soldiers have got a big success in Bandipora of Jammu and Kashmir. A Lashkar-e-Taiba terrorist has been arrested in a joint operation by Kashmir Police and CRPF during naka checking in Bandipora. Several rounds of AK-47 along with a Chinese grenade have been recovered from the arrested terrorist. According to the information received, Bandipora police in North Kashmir arrested a terrorist associate of Lashkar in a joint operation with 26 AR and 3rd Battalion CRPF. Along with the picture of the arrested terrorist, the pictures of the weapon seized from him have also been shared by the news agency ANI.

Kashmir Police said that on the basis of secret information, the terrorist associate of Lashkar was controlled during naka checking on Canal Road Elosa with CRPF. Police recovered a live Chinese grenade and 12 live AK-47 rounds from him. A case was registered against the arrested terrorist under the relevant section of UAPA.

J&K Police said that Bandipora Police along with 26 AR and 3rd Battalion CRPF arrested a terrorist associate of LeT near Canal Road Alosa Bandipora during naka checking, one live Chinese grenade and 12 live AK-47 from him. The bullets were recovered. A case has been registered under relevant sections of UAPA.

It may be noted that earlier on April 3, arms and ammunition including hand grenades were recovered near the Vijaypur area of Samba district in Jammu and Kashmir. Police said that information about a suspicious object was received, following which police reached the spot. The recovered items included pistols, grenades and magazines. The recovery of a suspicious packet came a day after a private car exploded on Boulevard Road in Srinagar on Sunday, police had said.
