Kabirdham first in state-level Paralympic athletics competition, host Raipur third
The state-level Paralympic athletics competition concluded on Monday. In this competition organized at Swami Vivekananda International Athletics Stadium, Kota, the capital, the players of Kabirdham district secured the first position by winning the maximum number of medals.
The state-level Paralympic athletics competition came to an end on Monday. In this competition organized at Swami Vivekananda International Athletics Stadium, Kota, the capital, the players of Kabirdham district bagged the first position by winning a maximum number of medals. Whereas, Mahasamund stood second and host Raipur district stood third. About 150 players and officials from different districts participated in this event. The players who excelled in the competition were selected for the state team, which would compete in the national competition.
Ravindra Singh Prakash Industries and Santosh Raghuvanshi felicitated the medal-winning players with gold, silver and bronze medals and certificates at the conclusion of the event. Chhattisgarh Paralympic Athletics Association President Suraj Yadav, Secretary Dikesh Tandon, Vice President Prashant Singh and member Neeta Dumre and players were present on this occasion. This competition was organized by Chhattisgarh Para Athletics Association. In this two-day event, 100 Para-athletics events were held among 150 players.
