BSP Chief Mayawati has expressed concern over the theft of an elephant statue from the site of social change. He tweeted that in the respect of the great saints, gurus, and great men born in the neglected, despised, Dalit, and other backward classes in the country, the BSP government had built a grand Dr. Bhimrao Ambedkar social transformation site. The area is now the main center of tourism. The theft of an elephant here is a matter of shame and concern.
BSP chief Mayawati further wrote in the tweet that the neglect being done in the protection and maintenance of the grand sites and monuments built by the BSP government earlier in the SP and now in the BJP government is a matter of great concern. Whereas, these places are a source of tourism income. The work being done at Manya Shrikanshi Ramji memorial site and many other places is also going on very sluggishly. The government should pay attention to this.
