French President Emmanuel Macron on Sunday expressed confidence that India will take over the presidency of the G20, saying he is confident that Prime Minister Narendra Modi will bring everyone together to build a peaceful and stable world. On Friday, US President Joe Biden described India as a strong ally of America. Along with this, he said that he is looking forward to supporting his "friend" Prime Minister Modi during India's G20 chairmanship.
In fact, India formally assumed the presidency of the G20 on Thursday, which will chair the G20 till 30 November 2023. The announcement of India becoming the G-20 president was made during the G-20 summit held in Indonesia last month.
In a tweet today, sharing a photo of himself and Prime Minister Modi, Macron endorsed the theme of "One Earth, One Family, One Future" that India has chosen to chair the G20. He also wrote, "I trust my friend Narendra Modi to bring us together to create a world of peace and a more sustainable world."
Earlier, Prime Minister Modi said on Thursday that India would work to promote unity, inspired by the theme "One Earth, One Family, One Future" and listed terror, climate change, and pandemics as the most significant challenges. .
