Gang war in Goindwal Sahib Jail, death of accused Mandeep and Manmohan in Moosewala case
Sidhu Moosewala Murder Case: Mandeep Singh Toofan and Manmohan Singh Mona, accused in the Punjabi singer Sidhu Moosewala murder case, died in a gang war on Sunday in Goindwal Sahib Central Jail, Tarn Taran, Punjab.
Mandeep Singh Toofan and Manmohan Singh Mona, accused in the murder of Punjabi singer Sidhu Musewala, were killed in a gang war on Sunday in the Goindwal Sahib Central Jail in Tarn Taran, Punjab. Another gangster Keshav, a resident of Bathinda, is seriously injured. All three have been attacked with sharp weapons on their heads. The injured gangster Keshav has been admitted to the Civil Hospital in Tarn Taran amid tight security. When Keshav's condition is critical, he has been referred to Guru Nanak Dev Hospital in Amritsar amid heavy security. Medical Officer Dr. Jagjit Singh said that out of the three injured brought from the jail, two had already died.
DSP (City) Jaspal Singh Dhillon, Police Station City Tarn Taran's Duty Officer Vipin Kumar and Police Station Goindwal Sahib's Duty Officer Prem Singh are present on the spot along with the police force. SSP Gurmeet Singh Chauhan said that a thorough investigation has been started into the matter.
Mobile phones are being misused in Goindwal Sahib Jail and narcotics are being recovered continuously. Gangster Mandeep, accused in connection with singer Sidhu Moosewala's murder case, was kept under tight security. There was some altercation between the accused and the gangsters started attacking each other with iron rods.
A-category gangster Mandeep Toofan died on the spot, while Manmohan Singh Mona died in the hospital. Dr. Jagjit Singh, posted in the emergency ward of Civil Hospital Tarn Taran, told that Mandeep Toofan had died when all three were brought to Civil Hospital through the emergency. SSP Gurmeet Singh Chauhan told that the investigation of the matter is going on.
