Prime Minister Narendra Modi arrived in Bali here on Monday to attend the G-20 summit and bilateral meetings with world leaders leading up to it. The two-day G-20 summit begins today. Presidents of many other countries including India, America, and China are participating in the G-20 summit. PM Modi will participate in 20 programs during this period. He will meet 10 leaders on Tuesday. On the sidelines of the G-20 summit, PM Modi will also address the Indian diaspora in Indonesia.
Foreign Secretary Vinay Kwatra told that the summit will be held in three sessions and PM Modi will participate in these three sessions along with other world leaders. Apart from participating in the G-20 summit, Prime Minister Modi will also hold bilateral meetings with the heads of the 10 participating countries. Many important issues will be discussed in detail in this. PM Modi will stay in Bali for about 45 hours. PM Modi met US President Joe Biden during his visit to Bali today. Both leaders met each other with great enthusiasm.
Taking some time out from his busy schedule, Prime Minister Modi will also address the Indian diaspora in Indonesia. Before leaving for Indonesia, Prime Minister Modi said that he is looking forward to addressing the Indian community in Bali at a reception on Tuesday. PM Modi will present India's perspective on global issues, global development, food and energy security, environment, and health topics while addressing the Indian diaspora in Indonesia.
PM Modi will attend working session 1 this morning. It will be based on food and energy security. After this, the leaders will have lunch at 10 am. Then at 11:30 am, the issue related to health will be discussed. Then at 2:30 pm, they will reach Prime Plaza, Hotel Sanur where there is a community program. After this, PM Modi will attend the welcome dinner and cultural program at 4:30 pm.
