Danish Kaneria said no player in the current Pakistan batting line-up should be compared to India's greats Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma. This comment of Kaneria came after the historic defeat of Pakistan.
The last match of the three-match Test series played between Pakistan and England was played at the National Stadium in Karachi. In this match, England performed well and defeated Pakistan by 8 wickets. With this, England whitewashed Pakistan and won the series 3-0. This is the first time in history that the Pakistan team has faced a clean sweep in a Test series at home. After this defeat, former Pakistan spinner Danish Kaneria lashed out at team captain Babar Azam.
Danish Kaneria said no player in the current Pakistan batting line-up should be compared to India's greats Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma. This comment of Kaneria came after the historic defeat of Pakistan.
Kaneria said on his YouTube channel, "People should stop comparing Babar Azam with Virat Kohli. Players like Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma are huge players. There is no one in the Pakistan team who can be compared to them". If you talk to them, they'll try to be nice. When you ask them to deliver results, they don't do anything."
He further said, "Babar Azam is a big void as a captain. He is not fit to lead the team. He is not capable of leading the team, especially when it comes to Test cricket. It was a good opportunity to learn captaincy by watching Ben Stokes and Brendon McCullum. He could put his ego aside and ask Sarfaraz Ahmed how to captain."
Playing ahead of 112/2 in this match, the England team made a solid start on the fourth day. England needed 55 runs to win on the fourth day and the team achieved it easily with the help of a brilliant half-century from Ben Dockett. Ben Stokes and Ben Duckett did not lose any wickets on the fourth day and gave the team a historic victory by 8 wickets. This is the first time in the 70-year history of the Pakistan cricket team that a team has clean-swept them at home.
