Final of the World Test Championship 2023 will be played in 'The Oval', ICC announced the dates

The International Cricket Council (ICC) has announced the dates for the final match of the ICC World Test Championship (WTC). According to the ICC, the final of the second season of the WTC will be played from June 7 to 11, 2023 at the historic 'The Oval' ground in London. The Oval has hosted over 100 Test matches in its rich history.

A reserve day has also been kept for this five-day final match. In such a situation, if any day of the final match is affected due to rain, then definitely one more day will be available to get the result of the match. The final will be between the top two teams in the WTC points table and Australia is currently at the top of the nine-team points table with a decent win percentage of 75.56. It is followed by India, who have 58.93 percent win points in their account. Both the teams will face each other in a four-match Test series starting from February 9 in Nagpur and the finalists will be decided after the series.

India captain Rohit Sharma said, Test cricket has witnessed many exciting moments in recent times and undoubtedly there are many more to come. I am excited at the prospect of cementing my place in the finals and hopefully making history at the end of the year. Australia captain Pat Cummins said, "It is exciting and has been a goal of ours for some time. We are confident that we will be looking forward to making the finals in India after 12 months.
