Addressing a press conference at the BJP office in Kolkata, Mithun Chakraborty said, "21 TMC MLAs are still in touch with me, I had said this before and I am saying it again, I stand my point. Just wait for the right time."
The BJP leader said, "I know there are some objections in the party, many people said that they cannot tolerate it anymore. I have said that I will not repeat the same mistake."
Mithun Chakraborty was in Kolkata on Saturday for a meeting with leaders from across the city regarding Durga Puja. During this, in a conversation with the media, he reiterated this claim. When asked about the number of MLAs, he said, "I will not tell you the exact number, but I can say that the number is not less than 21."
After this, when Mithun was questioned about Mamta Banerjee's claim about the misuse of ED. Mamata Banerjee had claimed that CBI and ED are being misused but PM Modi is not behind it. On this, he said that "I also think that he is right. PM is not doing this. The court has given a decision on this, so what can we do?"
