Encounter in Shopian, 3 Lashkar terrorists killed, Kashmiri Pandit's killer also killed
Shopian Encounter: Indian soldiers have achieved great success in the Shopian district of Jammu and Kashmir. Jammu and Kashmir Police and Indian soldiers have killed three Lashkar terrorists. The terrorist who killed Kashmiri Pandit Puran Bhatt has also been killed in this.
On December 20, Indian soldiers achieved great success in the Shopian district in Jammu and Kashmir. Security forces killed three terrorists of Lashkar-e-Taiba in Shopian. In this, the terrorist involved in the murder of Kashmiri Pandit Puran Krishna Bhatt has also been killed. The encounter took place in the Munjh Marg area of Shopian on the morning of 20 December. Where the security forces had received information about the hiding of the terrorists. After the information, the Indian soldiers were running the search operation. Meanwhile, an encounter started between the terrorists and the security forces. In which the army personnel killed three terrorists. ADGP Kashmir has informed that three terrorists belonging to Lashkar-e-Taiba terrorist organization have been killed. Weapons have also been seized from the slain terrorists. The search operation is being conducted in the area.
According to information received from a senior officer of the Jammu and Kashmir Police, two of the three terrorists killed have been identified as Latif Lone of Shopian and Umar Nazir of Anantnag. Latif Lone was involved in the murder of Kashmiri Pandit Puran Krishna Bhatt. While Umar Nazir was involved in the murder of Til Bahadur Thapa of Nepal.
Army personnel told that an AK 47 rifle and 2 pistols have been recovered from the terrorists. It goes on to tell that Kashmiri Pandit Puran Krishna Bhatt was shot dead by terrorists on October 15 in the Shopian district of Jammu and Kashmir. Puran Bhatt was shot when he was going to the apple orchard.
Giving information about the encounter in Shopian on Tuesday, ADGP Kashmir said that three terrorists have been killed. Out of which two have been identified. One is being identified. After the encounter, a search operation is conducted in the area. The area has been sealed.
