Election Commission engaged in election preparations in Gujarat, said- 4.83 crore voters registered
Gujarat Assembly Election: The Election Commission has arrived to take stock of the preparations for the Gujarat Assembly elections. During this, in a conversation with the media, it was told that there are about 4.83 crore registered voters in Gujarat.
Elections are to be held in Gujarat this year, for which preparations are in full swing in the state. The Election Commission also took stock of the preparations. Chief Election Commissioner (CEC) Rajiv Kumar gave information related to the elections through the media. He said that Gujarat has about 4.83 crore registered voters and 51,782 polling stations will be set up in 182 assembly constituencies. During this, he has also given direction to the political parties.
Chief Election Commissioner Rajiv Kumar said that political parties will have to advertise their candidates with criminal records thrice so that the public can take a decision on it.
A team of senior officials of the Election Commission of India (ECI) led by Chief Election Commissioner Rajiv Kumar is on a two-day visit to review the preparations for the Gujarat Assembly elections. Gujarat assembly elections are due in the next two months. Chief Election Commissioner Rajeev Kumar and Election Commission Anupchandra Pandey also held a meeting with the enforcement agencies today to review the election preparedness for the smooth conduct of the upcoming assembly elections in Gujarat.
Gujarat's 182 assembly seats are to be held in November-December this year. The challenge before the BJP will be to retain its power, while the challenge before the other Congress will be to re-enter its presence by ousting the BJP from power.
In the year 2017, the first phase of voting in Gujarat was held on 9 December and the second phase of voting took place on 14 December. At the same time, the counting of votes took place on 18 December.
