Draupadi Murmu, who flew from Sukhoi 30 MKI, became the second woman President of the country

Today, President Draupadi Murmu got herself and the country's name registered in the pages of history. Draupadi Murmu became the fourth President of the country to fly in a fighter jet. With this, she became the second woman President of the country to have flown in Sukhoi 30 MKI fighter aircraft. Before Draupadi Murmu, the country's 12th President Pratibha Devi Singh Patil had flown to Sukhoi in 2009. Pratibha Devi Singh Patil was 74 years old at that time. The first Indian President to fly a fighter jet was Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam. Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam flew from Sukhoi on June 8, 2006, while holding the office of the President. Thus, before Draupadi Murmu, former President Bharat Ratna Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam, Pratibha Patil and Ramnath Kovind created history by flying in Air Force fighter jets. Currently, there is a tussle going on between India and China regarding Arunachal Pradesh. In such a situation, the President flying in Sukhoi fighter aircraft will give a powerful message from India. Assam's Tezpur Airforce Base protects India from four countries, China, Myanmar, Bangladesh and Bhutan. President Draupadi Murmu is on a tour of Assam from 6 April.

She was the first woman President of the world to fly in the fighter jet Sukhoi-30 MKI.

Former President Pratibha Patil made two world records by flying in Sukhoi. First, she became the first woman President of a country to fly in a Sukhoi. Second, the oldest woman in any country flew in Sukhoi. Pratibha Patil was then 74 years old. His name is also recorded in the Guinness Book. She was the second President of the country to do so after Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam. Wing Commander A Sajan was flown by Pratibha Patil from Air Force's Lohegaon base in Pune at an altitude of 10,000 feet at a speed of about 800 kmph for about half an hour.

Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman flew in a Sukhoi 30 MKI on 17 January 2018. At that time she was the Defense Minister. Sukhoi 30 MKI with a speed of 2100 km per hour flew more than 8 thousand meters from the Jodhpur Airbase. She was in the sky for about 45 minutes.

The Sukhoi Su-30MKI is known for its tremendous speed and lethal attack. The Sukhoi has a length of 72 feet, a wingspan of 48.3 feet and a height of 20.10 feet. Its weight is 18,400 kg. It flies at a speed of 2120 kmph. Its combat range is 3000 km. If fuel is found midway, it can go up to 8000 km.
