Congress Made Big Allegations About Smriti Irani's Daughter And Sought The Resignation Of Union Minister

On behalf of Congress, serious allegations of corruption have been made against the family of Union Minister Smriti Irani. Union Minister Smriti Zubin Irani's daughter Josh Irani has been accused of issuing fake licenses to serve liquor at a restaurant run by her daughter in Goa Get the 'Bar Licence' issued. Congress leader Jairam Ramesh said in a press conference that 'Anthony De Gama', who applied for renewal of their license on June 22, 2022, had died in May last year itself. Anthony's Aadhaar card showed that he was a resident of Vile Parle in Mumbai. His death certificate has also been received by the lawyer who applied for the RTI. Since the subject is related to the Union Minister, all the rules and regulations in this matter were also kept in abeyance. According to the excise policy of Goa, only existing restaurants in the state can get a bar license. That too one restaurant at a time. But in February last year, Smriti Irani's family restaurant was issued licenses for the retail sale of foreign liquor as well as retail sale of foreign and country liquor manufactured in India. The documents also revealed that bar licenses were issued without the restaurant license required for a bar license.

The Congress leader further said that hours after the disclosure of the fraud, the BJP government started the game of harassing Excise Commissioner Narayan Gad last evening. Who had sent a show cause notice to this illegal bar and restaurant run by the family of Union Women and Child Development Minister Smriti Irani in Assagao, North Goa?
