Boat sinks in Yamuna river in Banda, 20 feared drowned

There were more than 25 people on the boat. The boat has sunk in front of Ram Nagar Kauhan Ghat of Thana Asothhar. It is being told that 25 people were in the boat in the Yamuna river. Suddenly it turned. In this, 5 people saved their lives by swimming. But 20 people are missing in the river. who is being sought? Police and diving teams are involved. The boat was going from Marka Ghat to Fatepur. Here, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has instructed the district administration to carry out relief and rescue work regarding the boat accident in the Banda district. Strict instructions have been issued to get people out of the river and get them proper treatment. The main reason for the incident is the arbitrariness of the sailors and the negligence of their responsibilities.
Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has directed the district administration to immediately reach the spot and carry out rescue and relief work in connection with the boat accident in the Yamuna river in the Banda district. Condoling the loss of life in the accident, he expressed his condolences to the bereaved families. The Chief Minister directed the team of District Magistrate, DIGA, NDRF and SDRF to go to the spot immediately. The Chief Minister has given instructions to provide proper treatment to those injured in the accident.
According to the surrounding villagers, the boatmen often make people cross the river by sitting in boats in excess of their capacity. The Yamuna river passing through Thana Marka remains in spate during the rainy days. Fatehpur district area is located across the Marka Yamuna river. From this people coming from Marka to Fatehpur and Fatehpur to Marka use boats. According to the villagers, the boatmen accommodate 40 to 50 people in the boat. Boats do not land in the river when they are less than 40. It is alleged that if there was no arbitrariness of the sailors and they did not ride more than their capacity, then such a big accident would not have happened.
According to the people present on the banks of the river after the incident, after knowing about the incident at around 3.30 pm, the responsible kept hitting the river with the help of only one steamer. They did not find any other steamer or diver till about two and a half hours after the incident. The people alleged that they were busy getting information about the divers from the people responsible.
The police department became alert after the boat capsized in the Yamuna river in the police station area. It is being told that teams of SDRF and Water Police have also been called. However, the rescue work was claimed to continue till 5.30 pm with the help of divers.
