At the same time, now the Indian women's under-19 cricket team has been announced to be honoured with cricket legend and Bharat Ratna Sachin Tendulkar. During this, the office bearers of BCCI will also be present. The event will be held before the last match of the T20I series to be played between India and New Zealand in Ahmedabad on Wednesday.
The Under-19 women's team will be felicitated at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad at 6.30 pm IST before the start of the third and final T20 match against New Zealand. BCCI Secretary Jay Shah wrote in a tweet, I am very happy that Bharat Ratna Sachin Tendulkar and BCCI office bearers will felicitate the victorious India U-19 team on February 1 at the Narendra Modi Stadium.
Jai Shah said that young cricketers have made India proud and we will honour their achievements. On Sunday, Shah announced a cash prize of Rs 5 crore for the Under-19 women's cricket team and support staff after they beat England by seven wickets in the World Cup final.
Shah had invited the Indian Under-19 women's team to be a part of the celebrations at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad when the third T20 match between India and New Zealand is played on Wednesday.
