Another big action by ED in Delhi Liquor Policy case, Amit Arora, close to Sisodia arrested
Delhi liquor policy case: The Enforcement Directorate on Wednesday arrested Amit Arora, a close aide of Delhi Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia, in the liquor policy case. Arora is the director of Buddy Retail.
The Central Investigation Agency ED ie Enforcement Directorate has taken another action in the case related to alleged forgery in the Delhi Excise Policy. Taking action in the Delhi Liquor Policy case, the ED on Wednesday arrested Amit Arora, a close aide of Delhi Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia. Amit Arora is the director of Buddy Retail. It is believed that the ED will now interrogate Arora in this matter. Let us tell you that Delhi's Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia has also been made an accused in this case and his PA was questioned in the past.
The financial probe agency has alleged that Amit Arora, Dinesh Arora and Arjun Pandey are close associates of Sisodia. The accused were actively involved in the management and diversion of undue pecuniary advantage collected from liquor licensees to public servants.
ED has so far arrested a total of five people in this case. Liquor baron Sameer Mahendru was arrested by the ED on September 27 after questioning.
Significantly, compared to the old liquor policy of the Delhi government, in the year 2021-22, Excise Minister Manish Sisodia brought a new policy. The investigating agency has made serious allegations of corruption in this. The money laundering case has been registered by the ED on the basis of a CBI FIR, in which Manish Sisodia has been named as an accused, for alleged corruption in the Delhi Excise Policy.
