Union Home Minister Amit Shah has planned a fresh tour of poll-bound Karnataka to further boost the party's campaign efforts in the southern state. Shah left for Karnataka on Thursday night. He will meet former Chief Minister BS Yeddyurappa at his residence on Friday morning. Amit Shah's visit assumes significance amid the party's push to return to power in the key southern state. In view of the VIP movement, the Bengaluru Traffic Police has issued a traffic advisory restricting the entry of vehicles on several roads. The restrictions will be applicable between 12 noon to 4 pm on Friday. Police urged city residents to heed the advisory and follow instructions to avoid inconvenience. Please inform that on March 12, Shah was on a tour of Kerala. Which was widely seen and understood as the launch of the party's campaign for next year's Lok Sabha elections in the South.
After sounding the poll bugle in the state currently ruled by the BJP, the saffron party is trying to reach out to various communities by installing statues of famous personalities. Amit Shah will unveil three statues including that of Kempegowda (founder of Bengaluru) and Basaveshwara (Lingayat social reformer) in front of Vidhana Soudha, state assembly, during his visit today. Along with this, he will also inaugurate various development works of the Ministry of Cooperatives.
